The style ye made this picture is exquisite <3 At first I thought it's a some sort of screenshot of Spyro's animation! It's so calm in here, the colours give the evening's mood really good and Spyro sitting back to viewer looks like he's deep in thought. Amazing job, mate!
Aw, well thank you very much I actually picked the colors straight from screenshots of the old game to make it a little more authentic. I'd love to see someone make a Spyro animation like that, even if it was just a short nostalgia trip.
Thanks I never played Eternal Night or Dawn of the Dragon, I got about 30 minutes into them and just rage quit. I loved when it first came out but they just kept changing all the voice actors and graphics, I don't like inconsistency. Neat story line though.
Yeah I agree. The changing of the graphics annoyed me a lot to, but for DoD is was a company change so that makes sense. I've beat ANB, it was super east, but EN is literally impossible, half the time you don't know where to go, are forced to face nearly impossible battles with way to many and way to overpowered enemies, and you in games where you get to that final point of relief after a long long long part of annoying hard stuff where you finally get what you have been looking for, well EN doesn't have that, they make you think they are giving it to you but then it's like, mmm nope. You have to do a bunch of this stuff to prove your allowed to enter this place that you've been guided to by the person living in it all game. And then your just like ahsdfihuishgoihaegfhergi why!!!!!! But the plot, and my love for spyro is what keeps me going.
As far as DoD goes, its overall really good, and get progressively harder as you go. I almost beat it but then I lost my saved data and so yeah. Starting over -.- fun. ANB has great reply value though cause it's not too difficult but not to easy/boring. And DoD has decent replay value, some area I love playing over and over again and others, not so much.
Sorry for the long answer that wasn't really needed x-x I kind of just wanted to rant about EN cause it's pissing me off right now.
Eternal Night was the first game I ever rage quit in my life. I got to some part with all these jellyfish and I wouldn't even do anything, just up and die and have to start alllll over again. I watched my husband beat the game and it was just terrible. It seemed like they forgot how to do the story and was like "welp, when in doubt, pirates." The end boss was a joke too, he just glitched out and just stood there the entire time until he died
We didn't get far in Dawn of the Dragon for some reason or another, I think it's cause we had such a hard time with the controls, I'd just fly across the screen for no reason and knock him down and we'd start over again. I LOVED New Beginning though, holy cow. I didn't like Spyro's new personality that much but everything else was amazing when it came out, I'd definitely play that again.
Oh wow, sounds terrible. I got past the pirates but I also thought that was a little ridiculous. To me EN seems like they were just trying to draw out the series for more money. I have yet to see any real point to it besides spyro regaining his powers and setting it up for the next game, which, sierra didn't even produce. But I still want to beat it just to say I did.
Oh ic, DoD is a bit hard to master but its a great play is you can get the controls down. However, when I tried to play with my boyfriend I always made him cynder >.< cause I love spyro to much. But he wasn't that good at the game and isn't big on video games to begin with, so I was playing with a friend before. I don't know that person anymore and have yet to find a good playing partner again. Cause the game is not nearly as fun alone as with a good playing partner. So idk when I will ever get a chance to beat DoD.
And yes ANB was amazing, the graphics were great, and although I agree I do like the old personality better the ANB spyro is just as loveable and his personality is need to play his role in this series. Our slightly cocky little friend from the originals wouldn't give the story as deep of plot nor show a good evolvemen from the sheltered child he was in the beginning to the strong hero he is in the end. Compared to ANB the graphics in EN looks a little rushed as well, plus the lighting omg the lighting in EN is horrid. Its ALWAYS either too dark or too bright to see what the hell your supposed to be doing.
Eternal Night was definitely some major filler towards the end of the game. It's kinda like one of those sequels that you absolutely have to have for the new information, but it's just so hard to stay focused from how drawn out it is. The lighting was definitely hard on me since I'm pretty much colorblind, all the dark things looked the same to me and I just kept dying over and over
At least they're not going anywhere I can still play them whenever I get the chance. Even though Spyro's changed so much since I was a kid, I'm glad to just be able to play with him still.
Yeah. And same, although I am not colorblind. But I actually figured out something about it that makes it so much easier and made me really speed up on beating it, which I finally did. You know the seemingly mostly pointless dragon time ability that you kind of forget about until you get to something that is impossible to get past without it? Well I realized that you are supposed to use it constantly. Like in most fights. Which I thought was bullshit in general because the dragon time ability just kind of, magically disappears with no explanation. It's not even in any fanart/fanfic's/fancomics I've seen either so basically no one really took to it either. But I've obviously not seen and read everything.
Yeah, I feel the same way. And at first I hated the skylanders design, but then once I accepted it as being just another art style I got it. But I just didn't like the game or the game play. So eh. I just don't even think of skylanders as a spyro game but a game featuring spyro. But only cause he isn't needed in the game at all for you to be able to beat it. So I'm not quiet against it I just wish they would stop considering it to be a spyro game so that he can get some new games. And I also heard rumor that the movie that was being made (and I think directed by the makers of Eragon) was cancelled because of the release of skylanders, but that is only a rumor.
